Avi Mishra

Avinash Mishra is an Associate Professor at the City University of New York specializing in the evaluation and treatment of children with neurodevelopmental disorders. He completed his graduate training at Northwestern University (MS) and Columbia University (PhD). Dr. Mishra teaches courses on Autism Spectrum Disorder, Augmentative/Alternative Communication, and Clinical Methods. As a licensed speech-language pathologist, he holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and has extensive experience working with individuals from birth to 18 years of age across clinical settings. Dr. Mishra has published in scientific journals, presented at national and international conferences, and secured funding at local, state, and federal levels for his research. Additionally, he provides consultative services to Lindsay Scott SLP and Co., where he assists in managing complex clinical cases and oversees translational research within the practice.
